Say goodbye to frizzy hair with these expert tips

The slightest change in temperature can upset your styling game and instead cause a mess of flyaways and tangles. Products like alkaline shampoo, styling gels containing alcohol, heat treatment of hair, etc. also cause frizz.

To achieve a smoother look, you can apply moisturizing and nourishing agents like apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, egg, avocado, and argan oil. Here are some tips that can restore moisture to help reduce frizz, as dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Shetty suggests on her Instagram post.

Hair oiling
The expert recommends a good old shroom using moisturizing and moisturizing oils like argan, coconut or jojoba oil and gently massaging it into the scalp.

Avoid over-shampooing
Shetty advises against over-washing the hair to remove the oil because it dries out the hair. Instead, she advises using small amounts of shampoo and diluting it, and using it only on the scalp instead of the hair shaft.

Hair conditioner
The health expert reminds the public to condition only the ends of the hair and not the scalp. She urges to condition hair longer, like for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Avoid over-washing hair after conditioning.

Use soft microfiber or bamboo towels to dry your hair.

Air dry your hair
She urges everyone to dry hair naturally and use anti-frizz serum. If using a blow dryer, use it on the cool setting instead of the hot setting and only dry the scalp and not the hair.
