GoopGlow Restore + Shine Hair Serum Review
OK guys, hear us out. We love to splurge on our manes, and we love a good luxury oil for all that good Sunday/anyday/me-time self-care, but…it’s not always the most justifiable purchase. . However, if there’s one woman who knows luxury, it’s Gwyneth Paltrow, known for her ridiculously expensive recommendations on Goop, namely her annual gift guide that features thousands of high-priced items. Gwyneth’s latest foray into mane magic? GoopGlow Restore + Shine Hair Serum: $48 offers us the heiress of NoLita bathed in champagne. Partly that’s because it’s a cheerful golden color and is suggested to be shaken before use, which creates a fizz.
We took the initiative to review this product so you don’t have to worry about wasting your money. Check out what we loved about the Restore + Shine Hair Treatment below!
What we love about GoopGlow Restore + Shine Hair Treatment
The smell is not overpowering. It’s fresh and citrusy but won’t take away your scent or replace it. Fragrance doesn’t get enough credit when it comes to choosing a product. Honestly, no matter how transformative a product is, if it smells bad, we refuse to process.
Not too greasy
This light oil absorbs well, minimizing the actual greasy factor that makes the oil unappealing to some. It sinks in even after being smeared around your hands, which is crucial. We prepped for a wedding car ride using this oil and it didn’t destroy our dress, nor did it look like we grabbed a greasy slice. Again, shout out to Gwendolyn.
It adds shine
Yes, GoopGlow does what it claims, which is to add shine. Its effects may be more pronounced on thinner hair, but you can maximize the glitz factor on thicker manes by adding more. Although it hasn’t restored our battered locks yet, we do notice that it helps us transition from cavewoman to functioning homo sapien.
Overall we love this oil. Even if you need more, a little is enough, but it’s also small enough to keep with you for a quick touch-up.
