Check out these expert-recommended tips to get rid of frizzy hair

The slightest fluctuation in temperature can ruin your hairstyle and lead to a tangle of flyaways. Frizz can also be caused by items like alkaline shampoo, styling gels with alcohol, heated styling tools, etc.

Applying moisturizing and nourishing substances like apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, egg, avocado, and argan oil can give you a smoother appearance. Here are some recommendations made by dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Shetty on her Instagram post on ways to replenish moisture and reduce frizz.

Hair oiling: The expert suggests gently massaging the scalp with nourishing and moisturizing oils like argan, coconut or jojoba oil.

Avoid Over-Shampooing: Shetty recommends avoiding over-shampooing because it dries out the hair. Instead, she suggests using small amounts of shampoo, diluting it, and using it only on the scalp instead of the hair shaft.

Hair Conditioning: The health expert reminds the public to only condition the ends of their hair, not the scalp. She advises leaving the conditioner in the hair longer, about 30 minutes, before rinsing it out with cold water. Do not wash your hair too much after conditioning.

Microfiber towels: Use soft microfiber or bamboo towels to dry your hair.

Air-dry your hair: She advises using an anti-frizz serum and letting hair dry naturally. When using a blow dryer, only dry the scalp, avoiding the hair, and use the cool rather than the hot setting.

Supplements: Using dietary supplements like RA Skin Hydrate and Evening Primrose can help your hair get internal moisture.
